SUMMER IS OVER AND YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS …………

HARVEST FESTIVAL TIME ! !

I hope you all enjoyed the lazy hazy days of summer and are well rested and refreshed.   Now that the summer is over our focus is on the upcoming Harvest Festival, which will take place Saturday, October 18 at 9 am.

A new feature of this year’s Festival is a Clothing Boutique.  We are soliciting gently used clothing (men and women…no shoes, please).  Take a look through your closets and I’m sure you can find an item or two to donate.

The Raffle Table this year will be complete with baskets donated by the various Church Committees. The Committees are going to create their own baskets based on a particular theme.   We are excited and eager to see the finished products!

We will, of course, have eye-catching jewelry, fanciful holiday decor items and a vast selection of children’s clothing.  The bake table will be overflowing with a wide variety of delicious treats.   Wonderful homemade soups will also be offered and the Snack Bar will serve a tasty and mouthwatering lunch that is sure to satisfy any appetite.

The Festival Committee has been hard at work over the summer preparing their wares, but we cannot succeed without the help of the congregation.   Volunteers are a necessary and an important part of the Festival.    Volunteering is simple.  No matter what skills you have, there is always something that you can do.  In return, you get the satisfaction of time and effort well spent.  It is also a great way to meet new people and connect with other church members.  It is fun too!
