Contributions of food and clothing to INTERFAITH are an important part in the outreach program of Christ Church to those less fortunate in the community. Items can be brought to the church, properly bagged, and placed in the Narthex. They are delivered to the Interfaith center at Central Presbyterian Church located at Stanbridge and Airy Streets in Norristown. Items in bulk can be delivered directly to the church, just check with the church for an appropriate time.
Annually, in conjunction with the football Super Bowl, an additional effort is made to collect canned goods on "Souperbowl Sunday". Participation is on a nationwide basis with the canned goods going locally to Interfaith.
Suggestions of canned goods and packaged items are as follows:
- Juice
- Pasta: Spaghetti/Sauce, Macaroni, Ravioli
- Peanut Butter
- Jelly
- Pancake Mix
- Syrup
- Cereal
- Beans: Chili, Kidney, Pork & Beans
- Vegetables: Beans, Corn, Peas, etc.
- Soup
- Fruit – Canned
- Applesauce
- Potatoes: Canned or Instant
- Rice
- Dry Milk
- Tuna
- Salmon
Interfaith is also the "Benevolence of the Month" each January. Contributions in the church envelope designated as "other missions" during January are given to Interfaith.
